Ingredients

  • 2 cans of Lemon Ginger Probiotic Soda
  • 1-2 ounces of Tequila
  • 1 lime, halved
  • 4 ice cubes
  • Salt to serve
  • (can also skip the tequila and serve as a mocktail aka Nogarita)

Instructions

  1. Combine salt and lemon zest on a small plate.
  2. Place 1⁄4 cup water in a separate bowl.
  3. Dip the rim of serving glasses into water, then in the salt mixture. 
  4. Mix and shake and serve immediately on the rocks.
WATERMELON MOJITO

WATERMELON MOJITO

Ingredients

  • 2 cans of Squamish Water Kefir Mojito Mint Probiotic Soda
  • 1 1/2 ounce fresh lime juice
  • 1 1/2 ounce simple syrup (optional, the probiotic soda is naturally sweet)
  • 8 fresh mint leaves
  • 4 ounce light rum (or skip for a nonalcoholic “Nojito”)
  • 6 ounce watermelon puree, strained**
  • Garnish with mint sprigs and small watermelon wedges

Instructions

  1. In the bottom of a Collins or other tall glass, use a muddler or the back of a wooden spoon to muddle mint leaves, lime juice and simple syrup.
  2. Fill glass two-thirds with ice. Add rum and watermelon puree.
  3. Top with Mojito Mint Probiotic Soda to fill glass; stir well.
  4. Garnish with a sprig of mint or small wedge of watermelon, if desired.
  5. Notes: To make watermelon puree: Cut watermelon into 1-inch chunks; place in a blender. Blend on high speed 10-15 seconds until watermelon mixture is smooth. Strain mixture through a fine-mesh sieve into a sealable container.
  6. -> You don’t have to strain the watermelon puree, but it does help to avoid any sediment at the bottom of your drink.

Ingredients

  • 2 cans of our lemon-ginger probiotic soda (chilled)
  • 2 cups cranberry or pomegranate juice (chilled)
  • 2 cups pineapple juice (chilled)
  • 2 cups orange juice (chilled)
  • 2 cups ginger beer or ginger ale (chilled)
  • Cinnamon sticks
  • Star anise
  • Fresh rosemary sprigs
  • Orange slices
  • Fresh or frozen cranberries
  • Thumb of ginger sliced for extra punch (optional)
  • Ice cubes to keep chilled
  • Naughty ingredient:1 (750 milliliter) bottle Prosecco, chilled or Rum

  • 1 Cup Orange Juice
  • 1 Cup Apple Juice
  • 1 Tbsp Fresh Mint
  • 4 Strawberries
  • Thumb of Ginger Sliced for extra punch
  • Ice cubes to Serve

CRANBERRY APEROL SPRITZ with a Gut Friendly Twist

CRANBERRY APEROL SPRITZ with a Gut Friendly Twist

Ingredients

  • 1 bottle Aperol Spritz
  • 1 bottle Prosecco
  • 2-3 cans of Squamish Water Kefir Blood Orange Probiotic Soda
  • 3 cups Cranberry Juice
  • Navel orange slices
  • Frozen cranberries
  • Star anise
  • Cinnamon sticks
  • Rosemary sprigs
Pure Water Kefir

Instructions

  1. Start by pre-making Festive Cranberry Ice Cubes for quick assembly.
  2. Arrange orange slices and cranberries into the bottom of each ice cube well , then add in cinnamon sticks, star anise, and rosemary.
  3. Once you have them looking how you like, pour one part Blood Orange Probiotic Soda and one part Cranberry Juice into each well, almost (but not quite) to the top.
  4. Allow for at least 4 hours freezing time.
  5. Freeze until solid
  6. Party time!
  7. Serve: Place 1 large festive ice cube into a serving glass. Top with equal parts Aperol and Prosecco.
  8. Notes:
  9. Make it sweeter - Aperol is definitely on the bitter side. If you’re not a fan of the bitterness, try using a little more of our Blood Orange Probiotic Soda or a sweeter Prosecco to balance the flavours!
  10. Make it nonalcoholic - hold the booze and add more Blood Orange Probiotic Soda and Cranberry Juice.

Ingredients

  • 3 ounces of Blood Orange Probiotic Soda (chilled)
  • 1.5 ounces of Vodka
  • Top with Ginger Beer
  • Add a dash of Orange Bitters or Shrub (drinking vinegar) to make it even more gutsy
  • Ice

  • 1 750ml bottle of Red Wine
  • 2 cans of Blood Orange Probiotic Soda (chilled)
  • Fresh fruit
  • Ice

  2. Garnish with a slice of orange or lime
  3. Add a dash of Orange Bitters to make it even more gut-friendly.
  4. Kristin and Sabrina came up with this recipe on a camping trip to Porteau Cove back in 2015, when they bottled in wine bottles. They mixed a bottle of red wine and blood orange water kefir together, added whatever fruit they could find, and voila!
